The Unique NMC-CESI Approach

Writer's picture: AdminAdmin

What sets NMC-CESI apart is our innovative "exchange" principle, a concept that lies at the heart of our workshops. In these weekly sessions, University of Toronto students and Syrian newcomers engage in a reciprocal learning process. UofT students delve into Arabic, learning from the newcomers, while the newcomers enhance their English skills through tailored worksheets focusing on Canadian society. This exchange not only fosters linguistic development but also nurtures cross-cultural understanding and unity.

Workshops held at The Cat's Eye, a student-run, volunteer-operated lounge at Victoria College in the University of Toronto. Located on the first floor of the Goldring Student Centre, with accessible entrances from both the Margaret Addison Hall Quad and Ned’s Cafe.
